The signatures must be from two (2) unrelated individuals, of whom one can be a 4-H member and the other an adult volunteer. The signer may not be the same person as the payee. If the bank does not allow youth members to sign, then there should be two adult volunteers.
Who and how many check signers need to be present on a club check?

4-H adult volunteers who do not annually reapply to continue as a 4-H adult volunteer are considered to have a break in service. This means they will need to complete the "new volunteer" requirements.
What is a "break in service" for an Adult Volunteer?

Ask to see if someone in your club would be able to help translate to overcome that language barrier.
Paper enrollment forms can be found in both English & Spanish Contact the 4-H office for any help with translation or further assistance. Be sure to provide a warm, friendly environment where youth/adults feel welcomed as part of the group.

On-line banking is NOT an accepted 4-H policy. The treasurer should not use on-line banking for unit or VMO business. On-line banking programs allow for electronic purchases that require one person’s knowledge and use. CA 4-H YDP accounting practices require two signatures for all purchases and expenditures.
