Division 6, section 34 (Basic Vacation Entitlement): Employers are obligated to provide vacation time based on the entitlement of the employee. When an employee has been employed for less than a year, then there is no annual vacation unless stated in a contract. If employed for two to five years, vacation time is at least two weeks and the employee is supplied 4% of their earning entitlement per year. If they have been employed for greater than five years, then one is entitled to three weeks of annual vacation equipped with 6% of their annual salary.

Division 7, section 46 (Length of Maternity Leave): Grantees that pregnant women can have up to sixteen weeks of maternity leave while still being considered employed. Women can start their leave as early thirteen weeks in advance to their due date. Even women who have experienced a miscarriage or stillbirth are still eligible for the full maternity leave, but not paternity leave. This act prevents new mothers from being in unhealthy living patterns as they just begin to branch into parenthood, it also encourages these women to focus on their family's health and wellbeing in addition to themselves.
