Take a small bite of food, slowly and while focusing on every aspect of the food begin chewing - notice aspects of the food such as the texture, sweetness or bitterness, warmth of the food, etc. Chew until the food is completely soft, then swallow and repeat with another bite, focusing on your breathing and food only - not your external thoughts!
