White Blood Cells |
---|
These cells produce antibodies at bind to antigens and neutralize them. Each B cell makes one specific type of antibody.
What are B Cells?
|
These cells help to get rid of good cells that have already been infected.
What are T Cells?
|
specialised cells involved in the detection, phagocytosis and destruction of bacteria and other harmful organisms. In addition, they can also present antigens to T cells and initiate inflammation by releasing molecules (known as cytokines) that activate other cells.
What are Macrophages?
|
These cells destroy cells that have been infected by invader.
What is Natural Killer Cell?
|
Neutrophils express and release cytokines, which in turn amplify inflammatory reactions by several other cell types. In addition to recruiting and activating other cells of the immune system, neutrophils play a key role in the front-line defense against invading pathogens.
